Interested in Joining our Board of Directors?
We’re currently seeking to expand our engaged and motivated working board!
350VT’s 2025 Board/ Staff Retreat
Who are we looking for?
Overall, we’re interested in hearing from anyone motivated by our mission to build a people-powered and people-led climate justice movement in Vermont and who passionately embraces the strong intersections between climate justice and social justice.
We would especially welcome those with experience and expertise in areas including fundraising, finance, legal, community organizing, human resources, business development or diversity, equity and inclusion. All prospective board members will also need to have the capacity to attend a two hour monthly meeting and serve on one of our board committees (estimated 5-10 hours/ month).
We are committed to growing a Board of Directors that reflects the diverse community that we serve. We offer a Frontline Stipend for those interested in joining the board who face economic barriers.

What’s it like to be on 350Vermont’s board?
350Vermont’s board members are champions of our mission. They contribute their time, expertise and community connections to help guide the organization’s growth and impact. Each member of our board supports organizational direction, helps to shape our strategic plans, and provides thoughtful oversight during our monthly meetings.
At 350Vermont we have what’s called a working board. This means that outside of board meetings, members serve on committees, supporting key areas like fundraising, finance, organizational health and campaigns. They also safeguard the financial health of the organization and help us to expand our reach beyond our existing network.
By joining us in this capacity, board members play a powerful role in advancing 350Vermont’s work building the power of ordinary people to create solutions, show up in solidarity in our communities, and create the political will for policies that will ensure access for all to transportation, energy, food, and clean air and water.
