Jobs & Internships
We’re Accepting Summer 2026 Applications for Organizing & Communications Interns!
Are you passionate about climate justice and want to take action? Join 350Vermont as one of our Summer Organizing or Communications Interns to get hands-on experience with the grassroots climate movement in VT! Our interns contribute to 350Vermont’s core work across the state, organizing to build the power of ordinary people to create solutions, show up in solidarity in our communities, and create the political will for policies that will ensure access for all to transportation, energy, food, and clean air and water.
Organizing Internship
Our Organizing Interns work alongside one of our Organizing Co-Directors to help plan events and actions, coordinate with volunteers, reach out to key stakeholders, write campaign materials, conduct research and support all other elements that go into running our campaigns. All interns may help with additional needs that arise such as tabling at events, collecting/entering data or administrative tasks.
Communications Internship
Our Communications Interns work alongside our Communications Lead to support the growth and maintenance of our social media channels. It is a highly collaborative role that focuses on generating ideas, creating content, and supporting events and connections within our network. Depending on the intern’s interests, it could also involve graphic design, photography and video editing. We maintain a strong focus on creating accessible and digestible content to share with our followers.
Interns work 5-10 hours per week, depending on their availability and/or requirements for earning credit. The internship is 12 weeks, beginning in early June. Generally our interns work mainly remote with some in-person time at our downtown Burlington office and occasional events. The program is unpaid and we offer a $500 appreciation stipend for those who are not able to receive academic credit or outside funding, although we strongly encourage applicants to seek alternative compensation.
Please submit your applications by Monday April 13th by 9am.
We’re not currently hiring for any staff positions at this time.

Past Interns’ & Fellows’ Testimonials
“Working as a 350Vermont summer fellow was one of my best organizing experiences. It helped me build the confidence, skills, and experience needed to pursue a career dedicated to environmental justice. 350VT also supported me in building the information and community needed to begin organizing around transportation in Vermont. When I sent a proposal for low carbon accessible transportation I was unsure if others would also care about changing the car-based transportation system that I, as a young blind young person, struggle with in Vermont. 350Vt showed me others cared. From the incredible staff who taught me how to build community to all the people in and out of the 350VT network I connected with, this fellowship has filled me with hope, joy, and the passion to keep working on transportation.”

"Working with 350VT was an amazing experience! I was able to learn more about local politics in Vermont in a way that I don’t think I could have on campus. I learned why building relationships should be the foundation of any organizing, as well as hard skills I’ll need in the future. I know that I want to continue organizing around climate justice in the future, which working with 350VT has made me sure of. The staff collective has done a wonderful job at putting my skills to use while teaching me others."
