350VT Node
Climate Action Collective
in Burlington, VT
An energetic, student-led group that brings together students from UVM, Champlain College, and St. Michael’s College to address the climate crisis locally by fostering collaboration, community building, and meaningful change in Burlington.
Our Projects
McNeil Canvass
Knocked on doors in the Old North End, spoke with 36 households, and collected survey responses to better understand community awareness of the McNeil Biomass Power Plant.
Found that most residents had heard of the McNeil Power Plant, but many were unfamiliar with its impacts.
Identified a need for greater public education and outreach on both the plant and biomass.
Single-Use Cup Project
Collaborated with students from the UVM Fall 2025 Environmental Education course (SEP 3950), and the UVM Eco-Reps.
Collected disposable coffee cups from across campus and designed a banner to hang in the Davis Center to highlight the impacts of single-use plastic.
Assembled and displayed the sculpture and banner during UVM’s 2026 Earth Week to promote campus sustainability.
